Bilateral Trade Between Turkey and Genocide-Recognising States, by Year

The table below (compiled using data provided by the World Bank) sets out the rate at which bilateral trade between Turkey and recognising countries has grown, since those countries recognised the Genocide. Each bilateral trade amount, calculated in US dollars, represents the value of all goods and services exported by Turkey to that country in one year, plus all goods and services exported by that country to Turkey in the same year.

All countries which have recognised the Armenian Genocide, with the exception of Paraguay, have experienced consistent growth in bilateral trade with Turkey, including some which have seen trade multiply many times over. It is accordingly wrong to suggest that recognition will damage economic ties between any country which has yet to recognise the Genocide (including the UK) and Turkey.
