The Armenian community of United Kingdom marched in London to commemorate the 108th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide on April 22.

“Silence is denial”, “Genocide denial is not an option”, “Hands off Artsakh”, “UK must recognise Armenian Genocide”, “Turkey is guilty of genocide” were some of the slogans that the protesters carried on the posters.

During the demonstration organized by the Armenian Community Council of the United Kingdom, flyers were distributed with the quote of Winston Churchill that said: “The Turkish Government began and ruthlessly carried out the infamous massacre and deportation of Armenians in Asia Minor. The annihilation of the race from Asia Minor was about as complete as such an act, on a scale so great, could well be”. Also, the Armenian community called for “recognition, reparation and restitution”.
